Kromo Tools: a practical guide
What the site offers, how to pick the right tool, what happens to the text you enter, and where the limits are.
Overview
Kromo Tools is a free website of browser-based utilities: calculators, converters, PDF and image tools, health estimators, time helpers and social media generators. No account or signup is required. The site is run by founder Dawood Mustafa with a small team, and is paid for by advertising and optional support.
Most tools run entirely inside your browser. A smaller group, the AI tools, send your text to a backend and then to an outside AI provider. The difference matters for privacy, so it has its own section below.
Quick start
- Open the All Tools page and type a keyword such as
pdf,bmiorage, or use the category buttons. - Open the tool page and read the short guidance on how to use it.
- Enter your values or choose a file. Do not enter passwords, bank details or medical records.
- Read the result and treat it as an estimate. For anything important, check it independently.
- If a result looks wrong, use Report a Bug. If a tool is missing, use Request a Tool.

How the tools work
Browser-based tools
Calculators, converters and most text, image and PDF tools run on your own device, so what you type or choose is processed in your browser and is not sent to our servers. It disappears when you close or refresh the page. A few tools need a network request to work, for example tools that look up an IP address, a domain or a web page, or that translate text. The tool page and our Privacy Policy describe what each one sends.
AI-powered tools
Tools such as the AI Text Humanizer, AI Chatbot Builder or Grammar Checker may use an AI service. Your text goes to our Vercel-hosted backend and on to an outside AI provider. We do not store the text ourselves, but Vercel and the provider handle it under their own policies.
Usage limits
Some AI tools are rate-limited. To do this, the backend reads your IP address and keeps a short-lived counter with Upstash. The terms forbid bypassing limits, for example by rotating IP addresses or using automated requests.

Safe habit: never enter passwords, ID numbers, financial account numbers or health records into any online tool.
Limits and accuracy
- Estimates only. Health, nutrition and finance tools give general estimates. They are not medical, legal, tax or financial advice.
- How formulas are checked. We build tools from published sources such as WHO guidance, test them against manual calculations, and re-check each tool every 90 days. See our Editorial Policy.
- AI output. It can be wrong, outdated or similar to other users' results. Edit before use and follow school, employer or platform rules about AI-assisted work.
- Rounding and standards. Different countries and formulas can give slightly different answers.
- Availability. Tools are "as is" and may change, pause or be removed.
Troubleshooting
A tool does not load or the button does nothing
Refresh the page, clear your cache, and try another browser. Disable extensions that block scripts for this site.
An AI tool says the limit is reached
Fair-use limits apply per IP address and time period. Wait and try again later. The limits can change at any time.
A calculator result looks wrong
Check units and rounding first. If it still looks wrong, send the tool name, your inputs, the result and the result you expected through Report a Bug. A screenshot helps, but hide personal details.
A large PDF or image is slow
Browser tools use your device's memory. Close other tabs, or split the file first.

Yes. All tools are free to use with no account. Advertising and optional support pay for hosting.
Can I trust the health calculators?
Use them for general guidance only. They cannot diagnose anything and do not know your medical history.
Do AI tools keep my text?
We do not store it, but our backend and the AI provider process it under their own policies. Do not enter anything private.
Can I get a tool built for me?
